MicroMeasure is a browser-based image analysis application designed for quantitative measurements of scientific images, particularly microscopy images such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM) micrographs. The application provides intuitive tools for measuring length, angle, area, particle size, and hole size, without requiring software installation.
MicroMeasure is inspired by widely used scientific image analysis platforms (e.g., ImageJ) but optimized for fast, web-based workflows and educational use.
MicroMeasure is intended for:
Before making real-world measurements, you must calibrate the scale:
Measure distances between two points:
Measure the angle formed by two rays meeting at a vertex:
Measure polygon areas by defining vertices:
Automatically detect and measure particles:
Automatically detect and measure holes/voids in materials:
Summarize and visualize your measurements:
Export data from within each measurement tab:
If you use MicroMeasure in academic work:

MicroMeasure is provided for research and educational purposes only.
While every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, the developer makes no guarantees regarding absolute measurement correctness for all imaging conditions. Users are solely responsible for verifying calibration accuracy and validating results for their specific applications.
MicroMeasure does not replace certified metrology software or instrument calibration standards.
Metric applies to Particles/Holes (Length/Area ignore it).
Not enough data
Add measurements/objects to generate a histogram.
This will clear the loaded image, scale calibration, ROI selection, and all measurements/results (Length, Angle, Area, Particles, Holes). This cannot be undone.
